Twenty three years has passed since the defeat of Lord Voldemort, and during those years the wizarding community has been more peaceful than ever before. Without the fear from previous years clouding peoples' minds, life has been pleasant and carefree all throughout Britain.
Recently, however, the mood has darkened within the walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
A new source of terror has risen in this day and age, coming in the form of a small group of students known as the Serpent Sons... [continue reading]
december twenty five. Happy holidays! Please welcome Will to the staff team! ^_^ Also, if you haven't already planned out something for your characters and the Winter ball, and you want to do so, check out the thread in the Winter Ball subboard (found in IC extras, under the dance board) and do so! Happy roleplaying. :D

december twenty. Hogwarts is hosting a Winter Ball! Please read more about it here: CLICK. In other news, I've relocated all the inactive profiles to the archives and sent out emails to all their roleplayers in hopes that they might return. I'm considering making people activate their accounts so future emailing will be much simpler and I won't have to send each email individually, haha, so just a heads up.

december seven. Since everyone voted to skip ahead to December in the poll, we have done so! The forum month is now December. Rumors of the murder and disappearance from September have died down and most people have forgotten all about Kyle and Kristy.

december six. I'm way glad to see how quick this place jumped back. :D In other news, there is an activity check happening right now and the member spotlight has finally been put up -- Aries Valentine was winning spotlight in the last poll so he gets it. :) Congrats! Also, the forum month is now OCTOBER, and I'm thinking about having some sort of autumn ball. What do you all think?

december three. Hey, Cyan here! So sorry for my vanishing. D: I am back now, however, and determined to start up DI again! I have a very busy life offline, so I won't be able to spend all my time on here, but as long as I make sure to put my social life first I think I can manage this forum. I'll need a couple other admin members as well, though, to keep this place going. Please message me if you are interested, and thanks for those of you who return!

august twenty-first. As you all have noticed, it has been very slow lately. Since at the moment I am the only active staff member, you are going to need some patients. Mia will be resigning her admin possition as she has some personal business of her own. As for Cyan, I don't know when she will back, seeing as she has a virus on her computer and can't access her internet. Thanks to those who have been here, and been patient with the inactivity.

The cellars are technically on the same floor as the dungeons, separated by only a few stairs leading up. They're a bit more welcoming, decorated by several colorful tapestries.
If you know where to look, you might be lucky enough to stumble across the Mirror of Erised here. If not, you can always go to the library and check out some books.
The entrance to the Ravenclaw tower is located here, so the majority of this floor's visitors are either Ravenclaws or Prefects venturing to their baths or lounge.
A lot of Gryffindors can be found on this floor, since this is where their Common Room is located, but few others come up here unless they're headed to the Room of Requirement.
These are the towers of Hogwarts, the highest parts accessible in the school. They're quite popular locations, actually, and they get a lot of visitors every day.
Relax on the shores of the lake, climb some trees, wander the lawns, dip your feet into the waters, or do whatever else you can think of. The possibilities are endless!
The produce grown here is maintained by the groundskeeper; normally in the Autumn there are lots of huge pumpkins and in the Spring and Summer the kinds of vegetables vary.
Still off-limits due to the creatures living within it, the Forbidden Forest isn't the safest place to come to. Of course, no one really cares about that these days, so just don't get caught.
This quaint little village is a fun place to visit every now and then, but students must have permission from their guardians before they are allowed to come.
Visit Gringotts, have ice cream at Londons greatest shop, or get your new wand. There are plenty of ways to spend your afternoon here, though most students simply get their Hogwarts supplies.
Of course students aren't at Hogwarts during the holidays. They spend them at home with their family, or perhaps their own apartment if they're old enough.
