Twenty three years has passed since the defeat of Lord Voldemort, and during those years the wizarding community has been more peaceful than ever before. Without the fear from previous years clouding peoples' minds, life has been pleasant and carefree all throughout Britain.
Recently, however, the mood has darkened within the walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
A new source of terror has risen in this day and age, coming in the form of a small group of students known as the Serpent Sons... [continue reading]
august twenty-first. As you all have noticed, it has been very slow lately. Since at the moment I am the only active staff member, you are going to need some patients. Mia will be resigning her admin possition as she has some personal business of her own. As for Cyan, I don't know when she will back, seeing as she has a virus on her computer and can't access her internet. Thanks to those who have been here, and been patient with the inactivity.

july fourteen. I'm glad to see the activity of this place already. Welcome everyone! :D Also, we've got quite a few Slytherin and Ravenclaw characters already, so I'm gonna ask that people please try to make some more Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. They deserve love too! Of course, Slytherin and Ravenclaw characters are still allowed, but you're urged to go for the other two houses until characters even out a bit. ^^ Thanks!

july four. Yay! Dies Irae is basically finished and ready to get active! -starts advertising-

june twenty-five. The forum is going up pretty fast, actually. I wanted to have it ready by tomorrow, since I'll be leaving for a family reunion for a week, but that's not gonna happen. Hopefully it'll be completely finished by the time I get back, however, and ready for official opening! I'll try to work on it while I'm gone if I get any time, because I'm way eager to start advertising and roleplaying!

SEPTEMBER !
what's happening:
Check out the latest article of the Hogwarts Insider!
The cellars are technically on the same floor as the dungeons, separated by only a few stairs leading up. They're a bit more welcoming, decorated by several colorful tapestries.
If you know where to look, you might be lucky enough to stumble across the Mirror of Erised here. If not, you can always go to the library and check out some books.
The entrance to the Ravenclaw tower is located here, so the majority of this floor's visitors are either Ravenclaws or Prefects venturing to their baths or lounge.
A lot of Gryffindors can be found on this floor, since this is where their Common Room is located, but few others come up here unless they're headed to the Room of Requirement.
These are the towers of Hogwarts, the highest parts accessible in the school. They're quite popular locations, actually, and they get a lot of visitors every day.
Relax on the shores of the lake, climb some trees, wander the lawns, dip your feet into the waters, or do whatever else you can think of. The possibilities are endless!
The produce grown here is maintained by the groundskeeper; normally in the Autumn there are lots of huge pumpkins and in the Spring and Summer the kinds of vegetables vary.
Still off-limits due to the creatures living within it, the Forbidden Forest isn't the safest place to come to. Of course, no one really cares about that these days, so just don't get caught.
This quaint little village is a fun place to visit every now and then, but students must have permission from their guardians before they are allowed to come.
Visit Gringotts, have ice cream at Londons greatest shop, or get your new wand. There are plenty of ways to spend your afternoon here, though most students simply get their Hogwarts supplies.
Of course students aren't at Hogwarts during the holidays. They spend them at home with their family, or perhaps their own apartment if they're old enough.
